Updated 12/01/20 - John is still looking for this vehicle.
18/06/19 - John Douglas who is looking for information of an vehicle he previously owned. This is the information that he sent in:
"I was 18 and travelling north from Mildura to Mt Isa
I got a job in the Irish club as an apprentice Chef.
My car was a 1970 Grecian Gold XW Futura sedan with Fairmont wheel arch moulds and peanut 5 slot alloy wheels.
It had black XW Fairmont door trims .
302 Windsor which I had painted fluorescent yellow (no idea why I chose that colour)
It overheated in lightning ridge and I did the head gaskets and timing chain to try to fix, no good.
I stopped overnight in the Great Artesian motel in Moree from memory and had the radiator cleaned out there , all these things helped a little bit she still got hot.
I passed through Blackall and up the road a bit decided I had to turn back.
I sold her on the side of the road for $500 and caught the bus to Mt Isa.
It had scraped an 80kph sign on the passenger rear quarter and rear door, the door was replaced but the quarter just bogged up and painted with aerosol cans so it didn’t match well and I never replaced the Fairmont wheel arch mould in that panel either.
I would love to know what became of my first car, not to try to harass anybody who may own it now, should it still exist that is. But if it is still around and happens to be for sale then that would be cool as. The Vic rego plates were FAE307 from memory."
If you have any information, please contact John on 0488 739 869 or via email at lastv8falcon@gmail.com.
