Please note: Roma to Mitchell is 87 Kms. Mitchell to Injune via this route is 166 Kms. Injune to Roma is 89 Kms. Total kms will be 342 kms.
The run will start at the Big Rig travel Roma/Mitchell & onto Injune via Forest Vale Road & Womblebank Gap Road. Along the way we will be looking and/or stopping at Wild Dog Fence, Maranoa River Flying Fox & Major Mitchell’s Campsite interesting history along the way towards Injune. Don’t forget hats/water/sun block/chairs along with your morning tea.

- Arrive at the Big Rig by 8am
- Depart by 8.15am travel towards Mitchell
- Turn right before the township of Mitchell onto Mitchell – Forest vale Road; travel 16 kms you will note the Wild Dog Fence. Travel another 17 kms turn left at the Major Mitchell Campsite area. Major Mitchell’s Campsite travel in 3kms to Major Mitchell’s Campsite on the river. Great history here with all the information boards and shelter/toilets
- Approx. 9.30 to 10.30 Morning tea at this camp area. Please bring you thermos & biscuits
- Depart by 10.30am travel back out to Forest vale Road turning left
- Travel 34 kms to Maranoa River Flying Fox on your left. Cross the river - Make sure you stop & look.
- Travel 45 Kms to Womblebank Gap Road turn right here
- Travel 43 Kms NOTE Wild Dog Fencing then continue for 8 kms to Injune township
- Arrive at Injune by 12 noon approximately
- 12 to 1pm – BBQ Lunch is being catered by the Injune Men’s Shed with members to bring cash with them to pay $7 per head
- GENERAL MEETING TO BE HELD AT THE MEN’S SHED 1pm to 2pm
- Afternoon tea will be provided free to members by RHMC. Injune Men’s shed doing the catering.
- Leave Injune by approximately 3pm to depart for Roma or at your leisure.

- Turn left to stay on Dargal Road travel 10 kms to Moorelands on right over a grid
- 9.30am Arrive at Moorelands Bush Nursery
- 11.30am Departs Moorelands or travel at your leisure!

"IMPROMPTU RUN" GUIDELINES FOR ROMA HISTORICAL MOTOR CLUB INC. MEMBERS
Club members may post an “impromptu run” to the Roma Historical Motor Club Facebook group, email the club (hello@rhmc.org.au), phone the President (0429 442 286) or Secretary (0417 197 871) or message the Roma Historical Motor Club Inc. Facebook page or the Blackall Chapter or Charleville Chapter's Facebook pages to set an “impromptu” run. This notice for an "impromptu run" must be given to the club at least 48 hours before. Other members will be advised as soon as possible the details of the run, via email, Facebook and the Club Events section on the club website, and where there is time, it will be published in the newsletter. Please note these runs should be genuine runs…not an excuse to use your vehicle for everyday use purposes. Club members are also encouraged to support club events in the first instance.

Saturday 4th May: Charleville Chapter - Information Stand and Small Display at "Welcome to Charleville" - Members to have an information stand and 1 or 2 bikes may be displayed.
Saturday 11th May: Roma Show Night Parade - There are limited spots available in a mixed parade of vehicles around the Roma Show track. To get a place in this parade, please submit a photo of your vehicle to Karen via email hello@rhmc.org.au. These will be forwarded to The Roma Show Society. This organisation will give final confirmation of spots. There will be an emphasis placed on unusual and interesting vehicles. The track is sand but should be well compacted by show traffic. If your vehicle will have difficulty managing the sand track and you would like to keep it on a trailer, please let us know.
Vehicles will be required early evening. Confirmation with time and directions will be given to those chosen to participate. One pass to the show will be issued to the driver/rider of each vehicle.
A couple of volunteers will be needed as marshalls for this event. Please reply to Stephanie directly (roma.show.society@bigpond.com) if you can help.
